Educational Background: B.A (Hons.) in Political science from HMV College, Jallandhar. She has pursued LL. B and LL.M from Guru Nanak Dev University Campus, Amritsar. She completed her doctorate in Intellectual Property Rights in E-commerce from RGNUL in 2016.

She has also pursued Postgraduate Diploma in Intellectual property rights (PGDIPR) from IGNOU school of Law.

 She has taught Labor Laws, Fnancial Market Regulations, Media Law, Administrative Law and Comparative Public Law to graduate and Post graduate students. She has authored two books titled Intellectual Property in cyber-Space and Matrimonial Property Rights of Hindu Women.  She was selected for KTS Tulsi Chair for excellence in IT law in 2017. She was on the panel of the Punjab Public Service Commission as an external examiner in 2013-2014. She observed the duties of editor of Army Institute of Law Journal, Faculty coordinator for Moot Committee, Faculty Coordinator Legal Aid Clinic, IQAC to mention a few in AIL, Mohali.

AT RGNUL she has acted in the capacity of member internship cell 2017-2020. Faculty coordinator, Centre for Advanced Studies in Energy Laws CASEL 2017-present. Editor RGNUL Journal of Contemporary Laws. Anti-Ragging Committee. She has supervised 10 masters and around 20 undergraduate Dissertations. At present, she is supervising 2 Doctorate candidates.

She has 18  publications to her credit. She has presented papers at 40 national and international conferences. She has been invited to chair the sessions and deliver lectures in seminars and workshops.

Her areas of interest are Intellectual Property Rights, Database Management, network neutrality, Media laws, labor Laws to mention a few.
