RGNUL LAW REVIEW ( RLR)

The Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab promotes research and adopts visionary approach to legal scholarship. RGNUL Law Review, Biannual Refereed Journal (ISSN 2231-4938), has been publishing articles and research papers on diverse legal issues since 2011. RLR is one of the most prominent academic journals of the country. The journal regularly publishes original articles that present perspectives on legal philosophy, legal history and contemporary legal developments. It brings to the fore interdisciplinary academic research about law and legal institutions. It provides a significant academic forum for the critical examination of contemporary legal issues and functioning of law in society. The journal addresses issues, challenges and emerging trends in legal education. RLR is specially designed for disseminating quality research.


RLR is a leading refereed and cited law journal. It features articles, notes, comments by eminent scholars and practitioners from around the world. Owing to the high quality of RLR, it has been recommended by several law libraries. RLR appears in numerous legal and social science databases. RLR has been collaborating with Lexis Nexis and Eastern Book Company for publication. Beginning with the print form, now online version of RLR is also available.


The biannual journal, RLR, is edited by faculty members for a term.  Presently, Professor (Dr.) G.S. Bajpai, Vice-Chancellor, RGNUL, is the Patron; Prof. Naresh Kumar Vats, Registrar, RGNUL is the Executive Editor; Dr. Kamaljit Kaur, Associate Professor of Law is the Editor of RLR. The Editorial Board consists of Dr. Sharanjit, Associate Professor of Law, Dr. Gagan Preet, Assistant Professor of Law, Dr. Renuka Soni, Assistant Professor of Law and Dr. Abhinandan Bassi, Assistant Professor of Law, Dr. Geetika Walia, Assistant Professor of Law, Dr. Navleen Multani, Assistant Professor of English.


The Advisory panel of RLR comprises Justice M.M. Kumar, President of National Company Law Tribunal and Former Chief Justice Jammu and Kashmir High Court; Justice Rajive Bhalla, Former Judge Punjab and Haryana High Court and Former Chairman Punjab Education Tribunal, Chandigarh; Professor (Dr.) Veer Singh, Former Director (Academics) Chandigarh Judicial Academy; Professor (Dr.) M.P. Singh, Former Chancellor, Central University of Haryana and Professor Emeritus, Delhi University and Professor (Dr.) Vijaya Kumar, Professor of Law, Vice-Chancellor, NLIU Bhopal.

RLR solicits scholarly contributions in the months of January and July every year. The last date for submission of papers is as follows:


January-June Issue: 15th January 

July- December Issue: 15th July 


RLR follows OSCOLA citation style (from January 2022 onwards)
