Assistant Professor of Law
Ms. NIVEDHA is currently working as an Assistant Professor of Law at the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab. Her areas of specialization are Taxation law, Corporate Finance, and Intellectual Property Law.
Prior to joining RGNUL, She was working as a Guest Faculty at the School of Excellence in Law, The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, Chennai. She has taught a wide range of Tax subjects for both UG and PG courses of Taxation law such as General Principles of Taxation, Law of Income Tax, Goods and Services Tax, the Constitution and Local Taxes of India, Tax and IPR, Comparative Tax Laws, and International Taxation, Law relating to Tax Planning and Economic Development.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in BA., B.L.(Hons.) from the School of Excellence in Law, The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, Chennai, where she excelled in “Hindu Law”, securing the First Mark and receiving the Hon'ble Mr. Justice M. Srinivasan Gold Medal. She further pursued her master's degree in Taxation Law at the same institution, emerging as the First Rank Holder. Currently, she is engaged in doctoral research focusing on Tax Treaty Abuse and Multilateral Instrument of OECD at The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, Chennai.
She has published in various peer-reviewed, refereed, and UGC Recognised Journals and has presented papers at National and International Conferences and Seminars. She is an Associate Editor of the Journal of The Department of Taxation Law (JDTL), an annual, double-blinded, peer-reviewed Journal published by TNDALU. She has delivered special lectures as a resource person and judged various moot court competitions.
