Guidelines for Contributions

TheRGNUL Social Sciences Review (RSSR) invites original, unpublishedscholarly contributions in the form of research articles, theoretical papers,and critical essays in the fields of Social Sciences and Humanities.Submissions must adhere strictly to the following guidelines:

1. Length of Manuscript

  • Articles should be between 3,500 to 4,500 words, inclusive of references.

2. Formatting Requirements

  • Font Style: Times New Roman
  • Font Size:
    • Title: 14
    • Main text: 12
    • Headings: 14 (major headings) and 12 (sub-headings, where applicable)
  • Spacing: 1.5
  • Alignment: Justified

3. Abstract

  • A structured abstract of 200–250 words must be provided.
  • The abstract must not exceed 250 words.
  • The abstract should be placed inside a box in the manuscript.

4. Keywords

  • Authors must provide 5 to 6 keywords, which should be written in bold.

5. Citation Style

  • All references and in-text citations must strictly follow MLA Handbook, 9th Edition.

6. Author Details

  • Author details must be mentioned in the title section itself and provided as a footnote to the title.
  • The following details only should be included:
    • Name of the Author
    • Institutional Affiliation
    • Designation
  • No additional personal information (such as email, contact number, or address) should be included in the paper.

7. Originality and Ethics

  • Submissions must be original and unpublished, and should not have been published or be under consideration elsewhere.
  • Plagiarism Limit: Up to 10%
  • AI-generated content limit: Up to 20%
  • The manuscript must demonstrate substantial original research and authorial contribution.

8. Review Process

  • All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer review process before acceptance.

9. Submission

  • Manuscripts should be submitted in MS Word format (.doc or .docx) via the journal’s official submission channel as notified on the website.
  • All submissions to be made on rgnulrjs@rgnul.ac.in
  • Include a declaration stating that the submission is original, unpublished, free from plagiarism, and not under consideration elsewhere. 
  • The email must confirm that the author has read and agreed to the journal’s policies and submission guidelines. 
  • For non-English quotations, provide an English translation within the text (in parentheses).
  • We do not encourage multiple submissions. A published author is required to wait at least ONE issue before he/she could submit another paper for consideration. It applies to co-authorship too.
  • Once the review process has commenced, no addition of an author/s to the submitted paper will be permitted.
